A Little Background
After many years of struggling to get something of a career off the ground, starting and failing in businesses, and finally attaining some moderate successes I have learned a few very useful things. Things that I would like to share with you that, if you are struggling financially, may help you to get a jumpstart on your path to riches.
There Are Two Sides
Every ledger has two sides. Money in and money out. Both sides are equally important to your bottom line. To often we get focused only on one side and forget about the other. I have encountered many people over the years who make excellent incomes and yet cannot make their car payments. I have also met those with very low incomes who focus entirely on cutting their spending and never consider trying to make more money. Growing the amount of money coming in and shrinking the money going out is the way to increase net worth. On this site we will be focusing on improvement in both of those areas.
Money In
As you know there are limitless ways to bring money into your life and the more streams of money flowing into your bank account you have the better position you will be in. Unfortunately for most people they only have one and that is their jobs working for someone else. Having only one source of income puts you at extreme risk should that income be lost and it severely limits ones ability to grow. Thus we will focus heavily on growing our incomes by adding new streams of cashflow.
Money Out
Bill, debts, and general everyday spending are the vacuums which syphon off the money that comes into our accounts. Of course bills and everyday spending are unavoidable, but we can have some self control and live within our means. Some of that means self discipline, some of it means searching for better deals, and some of it means better strategy. There are some tools and hints that I have found very helpful which I will be sharing with you.
